StackRox Partners with Google Cloud to Help Secure Containers Running on Kubernetes

StackRox on Google Cloud Delivers End-to-End Security for Enterprise Customers Using Kubernetes

AUSTIN, Texas – December 6, 2017 – Today at KubeCon and CloudNativeCon North America, StackRox announced a partnership with Google Cloud to deliver end-to-end security support for customers running containerized applications on Kubernetes, the leading container orchestration system introduced by Google. StackRox will offer an integrated experience on Google Kubernetes Engine and work closely with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) team to further enhance security for enterprise organizations.

“GCP continues to invest deeply in bringing the best of the Kubernetes start-up ecosystem to our users. StackRox delivers business-critical threat detection capabilities to Kubernetes users, and this collaboration enables strong runtime security controls for enterprise applications running on Google Cloud,” said Aparna Sinha, Group Product Manager, Kubernetes & GKE, Google Cloud. “We hear from customers that comprehensive security is one of the top reasons they select Google as their preferred public cloud provider.”

The partnership will expand on StackRox’s existing support for GKE, which allows customers to quickly deploy StackRox’s security microservices alongside applications to visualize the container attack surface, expose malicious activity using machine learning, and stop attacker activity. StackRox’s unique approach disrupts container attacks in real time to limit their impact. Google Cloud is a leader in advanced security controls and plans to actively support runtime security innovation with StackRox.

“Security continues to be the most significant hurdle to enterprise adoption of containers and microservices,” said Sameer Bhalotra, CEO and co-founder of StackRox. “Our vision is to help secure the entire software stack for customers who are moving to the cloud, and our partnership with Google brings together strong container security controls for major enterprises.”

This partnership will enable enterprises to realize the flexibility and agility of running containers in the cloud while maintaining full control of their applications at scale.

StackRox and Google Cloud will be at KubeCon this week. Contact us if you are interested in meeting with us or learning more.
